Designeristics is one of several Web site businesses owned by Joelle Steele and Joelle Steele Enterprises, founded in 1983. Joelle Steele is a writer, artist, and publisher who has been selling her products and services online since 1994.

Since 1994, Joelle has been providing a variety of consulting, design, and editorial services to publishers, advertising agencies, Web site owners, museums, libraries, historical societies, and genealogical societies. She also teaches adult education classes in art, writing, publishing, and Web site development via the extended education programs at colleges throughout the South Puget Sound of Western Washington state.

Joelle started out as an illustrator and copywriter for an advertising agency; had her first of 700+ articles published in 1973, her first of 32 books in 1974; worked as a creative director for a book publisher for three years; worked as an interior designer and landscape designer for five years; started her own business as a freelance writer/editor, artist/designer, and creative director; and ultimately became a publisher of books, periodicals, contract templates, and Web sites -- online since 1994. She began teaching adult education classes in art, copywriting, and poetry in southern California in 1983.
