Not a day goes by that I don't receive an E-mail or a phone call from a worried executive who sees declining sales figures and wants to know what went wrong. Recessive economic conditions aside, declining sales are most often linked to a corresponding decline in design skills and practices. You see, it isn't enough to hire someone who knows how to use a design program.  Anyone can learn to run a piece of software. But the artistry behind an effective design is the result of an educated designer with an experienced eye who understands the elements of design and how those components are incorporated with strong copywriting, current eye-tracking and psycho-chromatics studies, neuromarketing research, and the latest results of marketing focus groups. Sound complicated? It is, but that's what it takes to create the best design presentations for consumers in the 21st century.

As a design and publishing consultant, my job is to act as a second set of highly-trained and experienced eyes. I use those eyes to troubleshoot your designs, to examine and evaluate your periodicals, advertisements, Web sites, and marketing materials to pinpoint the weak spots in your designs and your written content -- including Web coding and search engine optimization (SEO). I then advise you and your design team in the ways in which you can correct, expand, re-vamp, and/or streamline your publication, advertising, or Web site to meet the growing and ever-changing needs and expectations of your potential customers and clients. I am also available to help re-train your creative team to help them become the very best designers they can be.

My basic design philosophy is: simplicity sells; accuracy counts; attention to detail determines quality; and the client's needs always come first.
